What is Emtrain’s New Learner Experience?
We’re updating the user interface for learners with the goal of making it easier for them to:
- Know what training has been assigned to them
- Understand what they need to do to complete the training
- Have a meaningful and engaging experience as they answer employee sentiment questions and see the results of those questions
At the same time, we’ve refreshed the look and feel of the interface while providing an easy transition for learners who have used the prior version. We’ve also worked to ensure that the experience works well regardless of the learner’s device or screen size.
What is the goal of the New Learner Experience Preview?
Emtrain employees have already had a chance to test out the new experience and we received some incredible feedback that has helped us to make improvements. Now, we’re ready for a select group of our valued clients to do the same. To that end, we have assigned you one program with a 10-minute time requirement and two micro lessons. We’ve selected these pieces of content to give you a chance to experience all of the updates we’ve made.
Watch this 4-minute video from members of our product team for more information.
Are there any known issues?
The focus of the preview is on the New Learner Experience itself, but you’ll notice the user interface includes additional functionalities that are still a work in progress. While you are welcome to explore them, you may run into some unexpected issues and we’re not seeking feedback about them at this time:
- Submitting a question to a Topic Expert
- Updating your user profile
- Triggering any system-generated emails (like submitting an expert question): the URLs in the emails you receive will not be correct
How will I provide feedback?
Once you finish the training, you’ll complete this brief survey. In addition, we’ll be holding two feedback sessions via Zoom: one on Tuesday March 7, and a second on Thursday March 9. Please sign up for a session here (you can also let us know if you won’t be able to participate in a session).
When considering your feedback, please keep in mind that we want to know what you think of the overall user experience and user interface, not the specific content (lesson text and videos) that was included in the preview. If you have feedback about the lesson text or videos, please email support@emtrain.com.
How do I access the preview?
Go to https://learnerpreview.ai2.emtrain.com/ and log in with your email address and the password “Emtrain123”. If you run into any difficulties, email support@emtrain.com with the words “New Learner Preview” in the subject.
What if I have technical issues?
If you need help when you are logged in to the Emtrain Learner Experience, please use the form that is available under Help & Support > Contact our Support Team. You can also email support@emtrain.com with the words “New Learner Preview” in the subject.
Can I add a colleague to the preview?
You can add a colleague to the preview until Friday, February 24 by responding to the email you received (subject: Emtrain New Learner Experience Preview) with their name and email address.
When will the new experience be available on my account?
Emtrain plans to release the New Learner Experience Late Q2 or early Q3. We will have a more precise time frame after this Preview phase and will be updating you at that time!
Will we be able to replace the Emtrain logo with our own?
Yes! If you upload a logo in the Site Config section of the Manage application, it will display on the login screen and in the upper-right corner of the screen after learners sign in.
What is Emtrain's accessibility commitment as it relates to the New Learner Experience?
We are committed to making the New Learner Experience fully accessible, in conformance with WCAG 2.1 standards before the general release date. That work is currently in progress, which means if you are using accessibility devices during this preview phase, you may notice some improvements to be made. If you would like the opportunity to preview the New Learner Experience once all accessibility work is complete, please let us know in your Feedback Survey and we'd be happy to accommodate.
