We have translated all of our Programs & Lessons in an effort to make training accessible by learners who prefer another language over English. Below is a bit of information about accessing translations.
Accessing Translations
How do I select another language?
An alternate language may be selected from the User Menu. Click your circled initial and then click on English. This will open up the available language options, which are enabled by your administrator. Fourteen different languages are currently available when Machine Translation is enabled.
Can I view everything in another language?
When an alternate language is selected in the Emtrain AI Learning Environment, you will see the words on the page change from English to the selected language. Some content items may still be in English until the lesson and page are refreshed.
When an alternate language is selected all headers, titles, lesson, and content will be translated into that language.
If a Lesson does not contain the selected language, a User will receive the below message to indicate that it is not available:
The Manage Tools are not translated into any other languages at this time.
Who made these translations?
Emtrain AI uses a mix of Machine Translation and Human Translation to generate translations for all of its content and your company's custom content. If your administrator has enabled Machine Translation, you will have access to 14 different language options. Our Machine Translation is recently released, and if Human Translation exists for the content and is up-to-date, the system will prefer the human translation over the machine translation.
Why doesn't everything change to another language when I change it?
When you select another language for the Learning Environment, you should see the Learning Environment switch into the alternate language. However, the titles in the Lessons List will change only when the lesson is refreshed—either by refreshing the browser itself or when you move on to the next lesson.
Dialog Cards
The submit button is greyed out on question cards, how can I continue?
When a translated dialog card is lengthy and requires a scrollbar, you must scroll to see all answer options prior to submitting your answer.
Videos
Are the videos dubbed?
The video scenarios presented in the lessons have closed captioning available for other languages. Our videos do not have audio dubbing at this time.
How do I turn Closed Captioning on?
The video player has the ability to turn the captions on and off. The control is located at the bottom right of the video player.
Do I have to select captions for another language on every single video?
After turning captions on a video, the video player will continue to remember that selection. You will not need to repeatedly turn the captions on as you go through videos.
I had captions turned on for another language and towards the end of the course, they shut off.
If captions are not available for the language you are viewing content in, the video player will revert to English. This may happen if your Company chose to alter something in the video and opted not to provide captions for the revised version. When you continue on, the captions will revert to the chosen language once they become available once again.
