Campaigns are the “containers” within which you will launch all of your training. Training can include content such as: Courses, Microlessons, and/or policies for learners to acknowledge. One campaign can correspond with any number of Groups.
Scheduled vs. Open Campaign
Campaigns can be designed to be open or scheduled.
Open campaigns and scheduled campaigns function in a similar way, but there are a few differences between the two, including:
- When learners are added to the Campaign (aka receives their training assignment)
- How Due Dates are set
Scheduled Campaign
Scheduled campaigns have a defined start and end date. When learners are enrolled in a group assigned to a Scheduled campaign, they all have the exact same due date.
Open Campaign
Open campaigns have a start date and a duration (number of days the learner has to complete it before it becomes past due). They are "open" to having learners added as long as the campaign is actively running. Open campaigns do not end until an Admin manually closes them, so they are good for things like on-boarding training and such. As new learners are added to your account, they can be enrolled into groups based on the group rules you've set up (e.g. based on hire date). So when a learner is enrolled in a group that is assigned to an Open campaign, their campaign assignment due date is set to date they receive the assignment + duration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my employees be able to see what campaigns they are part of?
No, assignments will appear in their ToDo list without any reference to the Campaign.
Should I stagger the deployment of our campaigns?
Our recommendation is to launch all Campaigns at once. Learners will see how others in their organization responded to questions. If the launch is limited to small numbers, the "anonymity" of the responses may be lessened or removed.
