Knowing where your scores are low is only half the story—Recommendations helps answer the next question: What should we do about it?
- For each Risk Area, Emtrain recommends specific actions. We plan to add recommended content in the future.
- For each Culture Skill, Emtrain recommends specific titles to address skill gaps, making it easier to take action based on your data.
Recommended Actions for Risk Areas
While Culture Skill recommendations focus on long-term behavior change through training, Recommended Actions for Risk Areas provide immediate operational steps to reduce legal, compliance, or cultural risk.
These actions are intended to help organizations move from insight to impact—especially in areas tied to compliance, safety, or trust. They’re meant to be implementable by functional leaders (e.g., HR, IT, Legal) and can often be applied organization-wide or targeted to specific groups.
Unlike training content focused on building skills—these actions focus on fixing processes, reinforcing clarity, and creating the right conditions for cultural health and risk mitigation.
Where do I find recommended actions?
In both the HR & People Risks and Business Compliance Risks tabs, questions flagged with a Warning or Concerning risk level will include a Recommended Actions link for that specific question. They can also be found in the sub-navigation under HR & People Risks and Business Compliance Risks.
What types of actions are recommended?
Recommendations span a range of formats and functions:
- Policy changes: e.g., establishing a no-retaliation clause for self-reported security incidents
- System improvements: e.g., embedding escalation instructions into IT tools
- Training reinforcements: e.g., using phishing simulations to teach reporting protocols
- Communication practices: e.g., recognizing employees who report risks
- Visual aids: e.g., creating flowcharts or dashboards to clarify expectations
Recommended Content for Culture Skills
While Risk Area recommendations focus on long-term behavior change through operational steps to reduce legal, compliance, or cultural risk, Recommended Actions for Culture Skills provide training content recommendations to address skill gaps.
How do I filter or search?
Use the Keyword Search field to search across:
- Culture Skill names (e.g., “Advancing Allyship”)
- Catalog titles (e.g., “Expanding Your Network”)
- Topics (e.g., “Bias,” “Communication,” “Speaking Up”)
The dropdown at the top lets you toggle between:
- Recommended Titles: Handpicked to directly support each Culture Skill
- Additional Titles: Other catalog options that may also contain relevant skills, though they’re not primary recommendations
